Sir Ken Robinson will push attendees to think in new ways that encourage creativity and innovation and focuses on skills we need in business, in the community and as individuals.

When you were little, you probably had a lot of big ideas about what you wanted to be when you grew up. Maybe it was a police officer, a firefighter, or an astronaut. What happened to those dreams, to those passions?

Often, as we grow older, we lose the ability to use our imagination and chase the dream job — the thing we’re most passionate about. On June 8, the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce will host Sir Ken Robinson, author of “The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything.”

What does it take to achieve personal success and feel like you are in your element?  Based on his newly released and highly acclaimed book, “The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything,” world-renowned innovator Sir Ken Robinson takes audiences on a compelling tour of what can happen in all our lives when passion and talent meet.

With a wry sense of humor, he helps audiences understand how focusing on “the Element” is an essential strategy in transforming education, business and communities to meet the challenges of living and succeeding in the 21st century. He pushes us to think in new ways that encourage creativity and innovation and focuses on skills we need in business, in the community and as individuals for problem solving and growth. If you are not familiar with this amazing man, you are about to be inspired and illuminated by one of the most creative and forward thinkers of our time.

The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Midland Center for the Arts, 1801 W. St. Andrews Road, Midland. Cost is $18 for Young Professionals Network members and $30 for the general public.
