The Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce will be holding its 4th annual Jumpstart Business Conference on Thursday, March 24, focusing on helping businesses tap into resources to expand their operations.
The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 24 at the Riverfront Banquet Center in downtown Flint. Cost is $20 for one person; $30 for two — breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Entrepreneurs will especially benefit from the program’s offerings, according to the event website, and all attendees can look forward to hearing from a prominent keynote speaker and also taking part in breakout sessions that highlight business marketing, economic development and more.
This year participants will have the opportunity to hear other business professionals talk about their experiences with starting, developing and managing their businesses. There are 10 breakout sessions with topics that include:
- Government contracting
- Financing options
- Social media
- Market research
- Legal fundamentals
- Economic development incentives
- And more
Participants also will have the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion about real world topics and issues that are of interest to developing entrepreneurs. And new this year is an economic development roundtable, which will inform attendees of the hot topics in doing business in the state of Michigan.
The Jumpstart training sessions will conclude with an economic development overview from Janice Karcher, vice president of economic development at the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce.
